BART Stabbing Suspect Arrested In Pleasanton

PLEASANTON, CA — A woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries after she was stabbed aboard a BART train at the Dublin/Pleasanton Station Wednesday morning, BART spokesperson James Allison told Patch.

At around 7:18 a.m., the woman was injured by a “sharpened object,” and taken to a hospital for treatment, according to BART.

Outside the station, BART police arrested suspect Diego Lightfoot, a 45-year-old man from Palmer, Alaska. Lightfoot was booked into Santa Rita Jail on charges of attempted murder and carrying a concealed dirk or dagger. He was also issued a prohibition order banning him from riding BART.
