L’Équipe report that Ligue 2 side US Orléans are in advanced discussions with 31-year-old French striker and free agent Édouard Butin.

Butin has been without a club since leaving Brest this summer after his contract expired.

Contract talks are ongoing between the relevant parties, but if they are to fail, Caen, Le Havre & AS Nancy are all also monitoring Butin’s situation and could pounce.
