2.25% Raises Each Year Of New Centennial Education Association Deal

WARMINSTER, PA —In a special meeting last week, the Centennial School Board adopted a new collective bargaining agreement with the Centennial Education Association.

The school board, in a unanimous 8-0 vote, approved the contract which calls for a new four-year deal that started Monday and runs through June 30, 2028.

There was no comment about the agreement other than one from School Board President Mary Alice Brancato.

“We finally all agreed on one thing,” Bracatop said. “I see halos over everyone’s head now.”

The motion was met with a chorus of applause from residents who attended the meeting.

The item had been tabled at a May 22 school board meeting.

The contract calls for 2.25 percent salary increases each year of the contract.

The Board will reimburse one-half of tuition charges for work taken for college credits with the approval of the schools superintendent. The reimbursement will not exceed $325 per semester hour for all credits up to the awarding of a master’s degree.

Long-term substitutes shall not be eligible for college credit subsidy.

Other compensation includes retirement and layoff severance pay, and pay for job-related injuries.
