Location For WrestleMania 27 Down To Two Cities, Decision To Be Made Next Week
Gary Stokan, President of the Atlanta Sports Council, said during a radio show appearance yesterday that the site of WrestleMania 27 was down to two cities — Atlanta and Miami.
He said the announcement will be made on Feb. 1, which coincidentally, is the day after the Royal Rumble at the Philips Arena in Atlanta.
Should WWE choose Miami, Sun Life Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins and Florida Marlins, would host the event. The stadium holds approximately 76,500. Likewise, the Georgia Dome in Atlanta seats approximately 71,000 and hosted WCW events in the past.
It’s interested to note that this year’s Survivor Series is already scheduled to take place in Miami, Florida.
