Dani Ceballos: Arsenal’s signing of the summer? New boy dazzles on full Premier League debut against Burnley
And the Spain Under-21 midfielder, who has arrived on a season-long loan from LaLiga giants Real Madrid, looks like he could be the pick of the bunch.
Ceballos helped inspire the Gunners to a 2-1 victory over Burnley, providing both assists for the goals, and he dazzled the Arsenal faithful with his performance.
Like a young Cesc Fabregas, the 23-year-old was everywhere. You could find him collecting the ball off his goalkeeper or driving at the Clarets defence. And he did both with class.
His quality was immediately apparently when he turned Ashley Westwood in his own half, before beating Jack Cork with a sensational revolver.
Ceballos looked comfortable in possession at all times, regardless of pressure. He has that classic Spanish ability to create space for himself in any area of the pitch.
But more than that, it’s the way he looks when he does it. The midfielder is so easy on the eye, which matters at the Emirates. Oohs and aahs greeted every turn, every piece of skill, and every tackle.
