Remi Garde in pole for Aston Villa job
Former Lyon manager Remi Garde has emerged in pole position for the recently vacated managerial position at Aston Villa following Tim Sherwood’s departure which was made official by the club this morning, according to our colleagues at Canal +.
Remi Garde has been out of work since his time at OL, which ended at the end of the 2013/2014 campaign.
Garde held talks with Newcastle upon the departure of Alan Pardew last season and was interested in taking the job from Carver in the summer, but the Magpies opted for Steve McClaren instead.
If you are questioning the legitimacy of these claims, then we would strongly advise you to reconsider: Garde works for Canal + himself as a pundit from time to time.
