Tottenham this morning made a €25m offer for Moussa Sissoko. This offer is understood to have been rejected by Newcastle United. Since then, a new London club has come in for Moussa Sissoko – they are Chelsea, according to L’Équipe.

The Blues are currently in talks with the player’s agent over a possible transfer. Before Chelsea’s entrance into the race, Tottenham thought that they had the upper hand over the other competitors, who were West Bromwich Albion, who have also made a sizeable offer for the player.

Chelsea are ready to offer at least €30m, and even make an offer that would satisfy Newcastle United’s demands, something that Tottenham are unwilling to do.
