PSG Director of Football Patrick Kluivert is in active talks to prevent Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez from signing a contract extension with the London side before the summer, when Kluivert intends to attempt to sign the player, according to the reliable Parisian media outlet Canal Supporters.

PSG are seeking to convince Sanchez to wait until the summer before making a decision on his future so that they can exploit Arsenal’s relatively powerless negotiating position, with the player’s contract expiring in 2018, in order to sign the Chilean international for a relatively reasonable price.

There is no guarantee whatsoever that PSG will succeed in convincing Sanchez to join them, let alone hold off signing a contract extension, but Patrick Kluivert is actively trying to do so.
