‘Manchester United will probably win the Premier League before Liverpool’ – Gary Neville makes sensational prediction

The Red Devils missed out on Champions League football last season with a sixth-place finish, while Jurgen Klopp’s men ended up just one point behind champions Manchester City, losing just once in 2018/19 and achieving a club-record tally of 97 points.

Liverpool are tipped to be City’s main challengers in 2019/20, however, Neville believes the Reds will fall short and could even lose key man Mohamed Salah in the next 12 months.

“I don’t sit here every day as a United fan and think my world’s ending,” said Neville on Sky Bet’s The Big Debate.

“I just see it as a cycle. I grew up for the first 18 years of my life and I didn’t see a league title at Manchester United. And the next 20 or 25 years was glorious. It was like heaven.

“But now it’s tough. I don’t sit here every day thinking, ‘Oh my god if they don’t win the league this year, if they don’t do this this year, if they don’t get that player’. Where’s the panic?”
