French defensive midfielder Maxime Gonalons is currently undergoing a medical with Serie A side AS Roma ahead of a proposed €5m move from Lyon.

Gonalons, who fell out of love with President Aulas last season after some cowardly displays in crucial matches in the Europa League, can perhaps be seen as lucky to move to a club with the stature that the Rome based side can offer.
