Gather Place was recently designated as an official Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (D&L) Canal trail-friendly rest stop.
Nestled in the heart of Yardley Borough’s Historic District, the museum now offers enhanced amenities designed to serve outdoor enthusiasts along the D&L Trail. The features include a newly installed bike rack, a repair station, a water fountain, and a comfortable seating area, ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors to rest and recharge.
In addition to the amenities, visitors can also enjoy the Reflective Garden patio, a serene space designed by Michael Lee and his wife Marlene, which provides a tranquil spot to relax with picturesque views of Historic D&L Canal Lock #5.
These improvements were made possible through a partnership with the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor, Inc., supported by funding from the National Park Service and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, alongside contributions from the Yardley Borough Parks & Recreation Department and The Yardley Harvest Day Committee.
D&L officials are expected to be at Saturday’s anniversary celebration.
