WATER MILL, NY — Firefighters rushed to the scene of a blaze in Water Mill Friday afternoon, officials said.

According to Chris Brenner, public information officer for the Southampton Fire Department, the working structure fire was reported at a residence on Head of Pond Road at 2:03 p.m.

Along with the Southampton Fire Department, the Sag Harbor and Hampton Bays Fire Departments assisted at the scene, along with Southampton Volunteer Ambulance Corp and the Southampton Village Volunteer Ambulance company, Brenner said.
